TRANSFORMERS PRIME: A SPARK OF HOPE

AU. One hundred years have passed since the Omega Lock was destroyed and Megatron terminated. Humans and Cybertronians now live side-by-side, with Jasper, Nevada (now rebuilt) as a hub.

Ratchet is now a world-renowned medic, who is growing increasingly lonely in his life. Without a mate, he has yet to procreate, but has looked quietly at the option of adoption for some time now. Sitting on it, and uncertain of his abilities. Fate soon gives him little chance when a human boy comes into his life.

Dylan Logan has had a harder life than most. Physically, psychologically, and sexually abused by his father until he was rescued at age five, he has since bounced from foster home to foster home for the past nine years. He has one rule: trust no one, especially adult men, and keep up the tough facade that he has put up to save him from more pain and heartbreak.

When the boy slowly gets under his plating, Ratchet soon finds himself thrust into the role of father. One that Dylan isn't sure how to handle, nor used to in any way, shape, or form. But as both quickly learn, he most definitely could be the parent the troubled youth has always needed.
