Lucy Heartfilia, a young lady born into a privilege family, is in secret a celestial wizard.  Her fiance, Lord Geer, who is a wealthy, powerful and dark wizard seeks her for the golden keys she inherits from her deceased mother.  Force to flee from home, she comes across a Fairy Tail wizard.

Natsu Dragneel is on a job: seeking a young celestial wizard.  He saves a blond girl from her pursuers and she journeys with him to complete his task.  However, he is suspicious that she is the person he's looking for.  

When the truth is revealed, Lucy and Natsu learn the reason Lord Geer is looking for her keys.  The day will arrive when demons will be unleashed in Fiore and celestial wizards having the twelve golden keys are the ones to prevent it from happening.  But Geer already have deployed dark wizards to hunt and eradicate celestial wizards.  Lucy is next and she must obtain the other golden keys before Geer acquires all of them.  Can she trust Natsu and his magical guild to help her stop a dangerous foe?  Or will she have to fight a treacherous war alone?
