Alexandra Wilson has a secret that even she doesn't know, but somehow, a very old vampire has figured it out. After Elias killed her family in front of her, Alex wants to give up on life, but when she's found by some special hunters, they teach her their ways. For the next two years, Alex enters a vicious and bloody cycle of being captured and running from the power-hungry vampire. When he becomes too impatient, he drains her a little too much, leaving her stranded in the woods of Mystic Falls where she is found by Stefan, Damon, and Elena. With the three vampires, Alex discovers her best-kept secret and how to save the ones she loves and maybe even the ones she doesn't.
