Caution: This includes references to servitude, because it's based on a movie set in Renaissance-era France. There is on-page corporeal punishment in one scene and reference to past abuse. I think it's melancholy. It's not my usual style; I wrote it in what I hope reads a bit like a fairytale since it's based on one.
