Jasper Whalen wasn't looking for love. Sure, he had a few relationships here and there, but they had all been with girls, and for him that didn't count. He didn't think he'd ever fall in love, and he had begun to accept that. So imagine his surprise when he meets Gale Woods, a mute street violinist. Gale was everything he was not. Shy, hesitant, and sweet. Jasper wants to know Gale, but it's hard to when all Gale will do is push him away. For Jasper, it was love at first sight. For Gale, it was another risk. And Gale isn't a risk taker. After what happened in his past, Gale is reluctant to love someone. Gale struggles to fight his rising feelings for Jasper and move forward, but it becomes harder when important people from his past return, threatening the happiness he finally found. Gale doesn't want Jasper to know the truth about him, but sometimes you need to just speak up. But that's something that's very hard to do, especially when you can't speak at all.
