Short Story

Jerry, your average run-of-the-mill teen, feels like an outsider since he can never fit it. Wandering the streets of the city he is suddenly transported to a frozen world of snow. Trying to find his way out he is thrown into a dark void. There, he meets an ancient dragon that tells of a world hidden from our own. In order to save it from destruction Jerry must reclaim that which was lost. Giving up his physical form, the dragon grants Jerry a very unique power. Finding his fingernails glowing a bright white, Jerry is able to see bits and pieces of the rainbow flowing within it. While a portal opens, Jerry enters a magical world he had never dreamed of. Running into the Guardians of the new world he is almost too terrified to move. Suddenly, a golden fairy appears sending the Guardians into a frenzy. Jerry is overcome by a strange feeling that warms his body. Following the unknown urge he realizes he must capture the fairy and keep it from harm. With the law on his tail, Jerry finds he is able to do far more than just run for his life.
