Heather Gates is a brunette, clever, Oxford student with a passion for writing. She writes anything and everything, from short stories to novels to even songs. Heather has everything she desires, a perfect GPA, a bright future, and two supporting best friends; Lia Colbert and Lean (Leandra) Henson. Her life is going day by day and everything seems to be too predictable until she meets Nolan Haves.

Nolan Haves is a brunette, artistic, and oh so secretly romantic boy around Heather's age who also has an extreme passion for writing. He isn't a published writer and lives off of different pay checks from different jobs. Barely knowing him, Heather takes an instant disliking to Nolan from her first impression of his rude, immature ways. However, when a mugger tries to shoot Heather, Nolan springs to the rescue. Heather begins to notice that Nolan is actually rather strong at heart.

But Nolan's busy working and writing life makes him oblivion to Heather's affection. So Heather decides to distract herself by overloading her schedule.

Suddenly when a stingy law student, Kelsey Livingston, threatens to come between them, Nolan has to act fast. After all Kelsey is just one problem out of many Heather and Nolan face. But will they be able to find their way back to each other and find the enduring love that they've desired all along? Or will destiny lead them to different worlds?
