My name is Thomas and I have been sent to Flaretonia Helping Hands, a sort of mental asylum for teenagers. That was the beginning of my story.

Everything has its place
Thomas' new life began in a metal box lurching through an elevator shaft. Confused, scared and filled with curiosity, he thinks the boys laughing maliciously at him are going to roast him over an open fire and eat him. When that doesn't happen, he's left with too many questions about who he is and where he came from. In his heart, though, he knows that he must become a Runner. A boy who is chosen to run through their prison, a Maze, and find an escape. This is a rewrite of the Maze Runner movies. I don't really know if rewrite is the right word, but I'm using this as an opportunity to practice my writing. It'll follow the structure of the movies with minor adjustments, especially just now in the first one. Later on more adjustments will happen, I think. I also want to include Newt/Thomas in this rewrite as I find the ship cute. My writing is a bit clunky and all-over-the-place but I hope you enjoy :) Please feel free to offer constructive criticism. It will always be welcome. Also, feel free to point out any mistakes or things that don't make sense? I've also posted this on AO3 under the same name :)

Living in the Scorch has not been easy for (Y/n), but she manages to get by. With her father Jorge beginning to loose control of their compound, she's finding it difficult to stay. All she wants is to be free, to explore the Scorched world, but on one stormy night, she finds that some new people have survived in the Scorch and found their way to her home. It's been a while since newcomers had arrived, so this intrigues her. She then meets Thomas and his crew whom of which are trying to find the Right Arm just like her father. One boy in particular, a young sarcastic boy with great hair, catches her eye. Seeing the opportunity, (Y/n) decides to help them in exchange for being a part of their group. She has to get them through the Scorch safely to find the Right Arm, and she can't help but fall for that young sarcastic boy, but she isn't the only one with a small crush. A certain British blonde boy has fallen for their fearless leader, but with this love interest being conflicted, will Thomas return the feeling? There are challenges, people get taken, and with the flare becoming airborne, anything can happen. Will they make it to the Right Arm or will WICKED beat them to it? Or maybe, death will. (This is a Minho fanfic that is based primarily on the movies, though some aspects will be from the books. Newt: A Broken Boy ↠ The Maze Runner
This is the story of a boy, a boy named Newt. A boy originally from the British Isles, plunged on a journey across the Atlantic and into the hands of WICKED, an organisation with only one purpose - to save humanity. --- This book is completed, but beware, it's not fully edited (not even the edited chapters tbh). I wrote it quite a long time ago, and I might rewrite it at some point, but for now it is complete. Just saying :) --- I don't own most of the characters, or WICKED, or anything from the original book/movie. This is my version of Newt's backstory, in which he's originally called James.
