Alice Bowman and Zoey Chase have been best friends since birth. They do absolutely everything together, dating being the only exception. But they don't even do that.

These two girls are even the two most popular girls in their school. No, not just their school, their city. They're like local pop stars, and for many reasons.

The first reason is probably their drop dead gorgeous looks that any supermodel would kill for. The second reason is their families wealth. Both girls come from families with CEOs as parents. Mansions, a staff, nice cars, everything handed to them. Boys worshiping the ground they walk on for some hope of getting one of the girls into bed. Girls begging them for a moment of their time because they know that if one of these two girls talk to them, they'd be promoted crazy high popularity.

Now, I've told you about what they have, but I never said that they want any of it. Because they don't.

They don't want the popularity or the high amounts of money or the attention that they receive. They're just two simple best friends who have way too much unwanted drama on their plates.

I chuckled slightly and shook my head. "Does that usually work for you? The cute little remarks and that nice smile." I teased. He gave me a sheepish look of surprise. "Most girls would be flattered at my attempt to flirt with them." I scoffed and shook my head. "Well, as a member of the "most girls" community, I can say that I am not." "Wow. That's a bit harsh." He gave me a smug look and crossed his arms. "Sorry," I shrugged. "I'm immune to boy charms. In fact, I think I'm allergic." "Well, don't think so highly of yourself. Just because you have cute dimples and a pretty face, doesn't mean I find you attractive." ------------------------------ Maya Cameron is a senior at Ohio State University and this is the year where you need to get your life together before you get pushed out into the real world. Writing is the only thing that keeps her sane after all of the trauma she's been though. With her mom and dad's unfortunate death, she's been left under the care of her evil step-aunt and forced to stay with her annoying step-cousin. As if college isn't stressful enough. And then there's this other guy in her life. They met online by accident and have been talking for months but she's not brave enough to make it something real. Will Ashby is the all-around superstar on campus. He's practically royalty because he's the running back on the Ohio State Football team: one of the best college football teams in America. Will is the person guys want to be and guy girls want to be with. But in actuality, he'd rather blend in with the background noise. His only focus has been football and finishing his degree. That was until he met this girl. He doesn't even know her name or what she looks like, but she's the girl he'd want to be real with. Because of circumstances, Will needs an English tutor or he won't be able to play. And much to her dismay, Maya is the perfect person for the job. Started: January 2021 Completed: October 2021

"I love how this book is turning out!😍 Not cliche at all!" - i_hatecliche "We might live next door to each other," Haley said, "but we don't live in the same world." Hooking her fingers around her backpack straps, she walked away from Jace. She had barely gone a few steps before he was at her side again. "What makes you believe we don't live in the same world?" he asked. "As far as I can tell, we do." "No, we don't. I'm...me and you're Jace Cortez. The dream of every girl. The friend to every guy. The star of the school. Girls. Sports. You're the ultimate player." "It sounds like you have a preconceived notion of who I am." "And it's one that has yet to be proven wrong." From books and a lifetime of sitting on the sidelines, Haley is convinced she knows how the world works, specifically high school. Everyone has a label and a box they fit in. This knowledge, paired with parents who are fighting, a brother leaving soon for college and a best friend who moved away has made her decide to never get involved. It will take being forced to work with her fellow juniors on a project, a boy next door with a infectious smile, a star gazer with an adorable puppy, and an unlikely pair of fangirls to make her see how truly wrong she was about everything. "IT'S NOT CLICHÉ!!!" - Moria987 "This is the reason y I keep coming back to this book...It's simply a breathtaking journey" - mariyamsajorawala "I don't usually comment but this is one of the best books I've read here. I love the fact that it's realistic and focuses on things that really hinder human interaction, perceptions and stereotypes." - yurfavegal "just gets better and better. How are all your characters 3D! Like this writing is so beautiful" - CrazyStarChick "Reading it for the second time, and the book still brings a smile to my face 😆" - grumpymood "She's practically Carter's twin 😂😂" - Guardian_21 #1 Breakingcliches #1 Arrogant #6 in Teen Romance

"So, you wanna go on a date with me?" Xavier asked. "Nope." Lily said bluntly. "Okay so I'll pick- wait what? Well, why not?" Xavier exclaimed. "Because." Lily said. "Because what?" Xavier asked, getting frustrated. "Because I said no." Lily said, and she slammed her locker door in his face and walked away. ----- Lily Wells was a girl all guys wanted and all girls hated. She wore leather jackets and combat boots and had long black hair and electric green eyes. Although she was beautiful indeed, that wasn't the main reason why all guys wanted her. It was because no matter how hard every boy tried, she turned them down. Xavier Daniels was the classic it boy. Girls wanted him, boys wanted to be him, mothers loved him, and even teachers sucked up to him. Since he was practically untouchable with his clean record and rich parents, he easily got away with breaking girls hearts, which was his favorite hobby. But, for the first time he's the one doing the chasing. Will he catch his prey? ---- Warning: the first few chapters are honestly in need of editing, but after chapter four or five it gets better! Also, the characters do curse. I swear, this is not the typical bet story! Give it a chance :)
