Astri is the daughter of the French ambassador to Israel, and attends the prestigious International Novan Academy in Arundel, England. Fall break rolls around, and she hops a plane with her boyfriend to his home in NYC. There, she uncovers a world she seems to fit right into, a world of teenage politicians that fight with their fists instead if their lies. Life underground seems to swirl around one 'politician' in particular, the dark and dangerous Michael Alexander Scotto. Astri is good friends with Scotto, but better friends with his girlfriend, Anne.
One day they explore an old abandoned Island in New York Harbour and discover something, or rather someone, that Scotto tried desperately to hide. As more and more people turn up, Anne and Astri are pulled closer and closer to danger. Will they survive?
