Have you ever needed someone more than the air you breathe? Than the roof over your head? Than the food you eat?
Would you go absolutely bat-shit insane without them?
What about when they go away? Will the earth shudder with your fury, your helplessness?
Help. There's always people willing to help and that's all well and fine. But when you don't have that person, the world falls apart.
I suppose you can say I'm insane with temporary bouts of sanity. A being as I am, pure magic in human form, would be that way. It is pretty insane, doing the things I do, trying to help people where and when I can to constantly keep the balance in check. Exhausting work. But it's okay because even though I am an ever-changing mess, I have a rock. I have stability. And no, it's not a home or even the things I posses.
It's a person. And despite it all, including his sincerest desire to die, he would always be the most important thing in the world. The world may be in discord, snakes may come with charming smiles to try and steal what is most precious, but still. Everything would be alright as long as I have that stability.
Until it is taken away. The balance will fall. And who knows what kind of hell will arise?

On the edge of Lilah's field, at the twelfth hour of the fall of twelve, the three kings will unite, a daisy will be lost, or the worlds will be gone. Now, can you guess who needs to die? Death doesn't bother me. I will let the world burn if it means achieving my goals - because with every lick of the whip; he tore my flesh raw, as his laughter rang through the mansion, and my screams disturbed the heavens. Kala had always thought of herself as normal, but when the world ended, cleansed by a power most would fail to understand, she realized she was far from normal. That day, Kala awoke in a fog surrounded by a nothingness that permeated every pore of her body. The only sounds she could hear were her own ragged breaths in the vast and empty darkness. When the light finally returned, she found herself utterly alone and suddenly part of a struggle much bigger than she'd ever thought possible. With that struggle came something else...power. Power to control the elements. Power the likes of which she had only seen in movies or read about in books. Despite her disbelief, it remained...right there in the palms of her hands. Eventually Kala learned to use her power as it was intended. As she wandered the new world, she met others like herself, other Servants with similar abilities who understood the reason for the destruction...for the loss. And then, six years after her world turned upside down, she met him. A handsome stranger in a tiny town in the middle of the West Virginia woods - not a Servant - not like her. And certainly not the type of man Kala had expected to find herself falling for. But the man she met there turned out to be more than just a hero in her time of need. At her side, he would become a protector, leader, confidant, and so much more. Together, they would find themselves fighting a growing evil...a man like Kala, who had been granted power beyond words or description. He might have been a good man once, but his fall was nearly complete. And now he desired only to rule - not to heal. This man would lead a small army against them, but they wouldn't have to fight alone. There was another, more powerful force on their side...one that could change the course of the war to come.

Feel free to click off if any of these make you uncomfortable. ~•~ Something about it was so mysterious about this cave, and I wanted to know more. I entered the cave and saw a red crystal sealed in ice. "Woah." I whispered. The crystal glowed and the ice shattered. I jumped back and fell to the ground, watching as the ice broke completely. My eyes widened and I looked at my hands. "Did I do that?" I asked, but before I could answer, I heard a guard shout for backup as they had heard the ice shattering. I quickly jumped up and stashed the crystal in my pocket before leaving. I crept to the cave the following day, putting the crystal back into the remains of the ice pillar. As I walked away, the crystal fell, causing it to break into a million pieces. I jumped at the sudden noise and stumbled backwards, my eyes widening as a black smog formed around the crystal. "No, no, no, no! Frick." I desperately tried to grab the remains of the crystal, causing one to cut my hand. "Ow! Shit." I whispered, looking at my bleeding hand. "Tch, tch, tch, poor child." A demonic voice said. I looked up and saw that the black smog had two red eyes and a wide, sick smile that was dripping with venom. "I- who are you?" I asked, backing up. "The one who can help you out of here." It said, stretching out a hand. I looked it up and down and before I could answer, its hand plunged into my heart, causing me to scream out in pain. Aurora: In a world where love had to be earned I would never be good enough. I was the black sheep in the family, the witch without magic. While my sister excelled in every type of way I had to suffer in silence, tormented by the people I should have been able to trust most. Having grown up with a deadly plague known as the Ghostly ravaging our kingdom, my main goal has always been to join the Special Forces to fight back. But in a cruel twist of fate I have to enter an academy - a safe ticket to the special forces- as a maid while my sister joins as a student. But finally after an eternity of hell there was a slight chance I could join the special forces and even if taking that chance meant being tormented by a handsome yet rude dragonshifter called Ronan I would gladly take it. ________________________________________ The more Aurora gets to know Ronan, the more the pieces of their past begin to fall into place-memories of a fateful encounter that should've never happened.
