This semiautobiographical account of a gay teenager deals with the rollercoaster of his high school years and the stress of balancing school, work, friendships, and a committed relationship. Ren Barnes, a self-proclaimed nobody, finds himself thrown into a whole new world when he becomes popular overnight and finds himself in a downward spiral not long after. As time progresses, Ren finds himself detached from his surroundings and losing his grasp of reality versus imagination.
Author's Note: Originally, I was much farther into the story than I am now, but I lost the document and have been working to find as many bits and pieces as I can. The majority of this was from a very early draft, so some names were different at the time and I might not have caught them in my editing.
