Prince Sonic was a kind boy, giving the people of the Clustered Isles gifts and joy whenever he could. On his seventeenth birthday, King Jules informs Sonic of his eventual wedding to the soon-to-be Queen of Knothole. Worried about his new bride, Sonic wanders around the beaches alone to think.
Suddenly, the kingdom is under attack. Sonic is taken hostage and held for ransom by Fang, captain of the Kraken's Jaw. While attempting to escape to a nearby island, Sonic finds the crew of the Bluefox and it's captain, Foxy the Pirate.
