One, breezy morning a teenage girl was surfing waiting for the right wave. When she saw the right one she was going for it. Until everything was silence. The water not moving the crowd not cheering everyone was waiting.  She knew that there was something else out there that she needed to catch. The competition might be over said "The announcer". Everybody was silence. No, one talked not even a muscle. Everybody was waiting, until she saw the perfect wave in the distance. She started to paddle out to the wave. When she was almost there she got scared so she dove under the wave. She was waiting for the next one leaving her teammate behind her. She was waiting and waiting she paddled further. Until, the perfect wave she caught and rode it all the way down she had the crowd cheering and yelling. The announcer said this will bring up her score but not enough to beat the top person.All Rights Reserved

Cody Bennett-Bogdanov is a high school senior who has her whole life planned out. She was going to college for criminal justice, go to the police academy, and was hoping to ride her BMX bike and skateboard between classes. When a BMX team comes to Cody's school, Cody has an eye on one of the guys. What Cody didn't know is that the same guy had an eye on her too. At the end of the show, Cody gets the guy's number and ends up hanging out with the crew before they leave. When they come back in the summer to see her, they teach Cody a whole bunch of new tricks on her BMX bike and she teaches them a few skateboard tricks. Cody and the guy, who she finds out is named Aaron, grow close, but of course, Aaron has to leave to perform more tricks at more schools. But Cody and Aaron stay in touch and Cody grows to miss Aaron more and more each day. Aaron comes back to see Cody and that's when Cody realizes she loves Aaron. She keeps it to herself for a while, telling no one. When Aaron gets a break from doing shows, he comes back to Cody and spends most of his break with her. Cody can't help but fall farther in love with Aaron. ----- I suck at introductions. I'm sorry. I hope this will suffice. I got inspiration when my school had an assembly that had these guys doing some BMX tricks and I don't mean any offense if I don't use the right terminology in this story.

It was a Sunday night, family night for the Greens. They were playing a board game when it happened. At exactly 11:11 pm; a time for wishes, a sixteen year old girl wished for true love one day. At that exact moment her window smashed and something flew into her room. It was a flock of them; they attracted the house and only took one thing: the girl. She remembers it clearly, the way she screamed scared out of her mind. The way it grabbed her waist and took off. She remembers screaming for help but no one came to her rescue. Oh how she wishes that she left her safety knife in her room. Then they would be safe. Her family! She just hopes they were fine, but the conclusion that she was taken says that her family would be back to normal soon. She sighs and thinks over her life. From a little kid she was always the loner. But her family loved her to death. It all changed when she turned ten. The world was changing. She remembers the exact day at the exact time. Her birthday; she calls it the hell day. Something bad always happens on her birthday and that year was the worst so far. On February 20/2020 at exactly 2:20 On the news they had let out the horrible announcement. Scientist's experiments had gone wrong. They call them the "Stone Devils". They were escaping from the labs and into our world. Made of stone and all male. Winged creatures that come into the night. Steal and kill their prey. That's what she heard but she didn't believe it until a few nights ago. (kinda like the movie Warm Bodies)

She fought as hard as she could, the icy waves crashed down upon her. Her bones were sore, her legs so tired of kicking, yet she never gave up. "So close" she thought as she swam towards a small boat, "im almost there" she said aloud. As if saying the words out loud would help her, for her they did. It gave her strength, she swam harder and faster untill she finally reached the small wooden boat. On the boat a group awaits for her, "cassi" one of the guys said excitingly "we didnt think you'd make it, thought we'd have to fish you out" he gave her a chuckle. The other boys laughed aswell "yeah well, i didnt want to become a popsicle, ya know?" he laughed even louder "none of us wanted to" their faces went cold. "Anyways, lets get you out of that water, welcome to the crew" the boys cheered. They pulled her out of the water, with a warm blanket they wrapped her, few gave her pats on the back. Her body was frozen and sore, proud that she made in, but tired .

The year is 2096. Computers, and other recognition software with them, have grown infinitely more powerful since the 2010s. Business is thriving. People are running about, living their lives, and generally enjoying themselves with their new 'smart' devices, which, for better or for worse, are actually living up to their name. Finally. Enter outcast Vincent Schorennherr. Her parents [emphasis on her] parents wanted a boy, no luck on that account, and they let her know that every day. You think that's not so bad? Think again. "Sorry, Vincent, but you're going to school anyways, flu or no flu." Well, just before first period, a 'conveniently'-timed password-entry prompt pops on on her phone screen, right as she: 1) Presses the sensor, and 2): sneezes, spreading rhinoviruses all over herself and her phone. She wipes the phone off and goes to class,thinking nothing more of the incident until the next day, when she goes to turn it on and gets a kill screen: "Fatal Error 81-141. The flu's contagious, didn't you know that? Bye now, gone to play Caesar- Veni, vidi, vici and all that." With that, her phone blinks off, and within hours, other phones begin to follow suit. With panic on the rise, and global tensions rapidly following suit, can Vincent and her friends find the cure before it's hard shutdown? **NaNoWriMo 2017** Complete in the sense that I'll probably never write any more of this story. I might edit it someday, though. I had a decent idea when I started, but that quickly went out the window.
