My story is more a survival horror story. It focuses on Cara, a 17 year old girl living in the small town Ironton in Rhode Island. When she feels nothing will ever change, the most of unexpected events happens. A zombie apocalypse. Now I know what you're thinking, another zombie story. But this story doesn't focus on how many zombies are killed or how many awesome ways you can kill them. This is a story about Cara and how she learns to deal with the apocalypse, it's about dealing with other people, good or bad. This story is character development. What would you do if there was a Monster that one day popped up in your life? uninvited and seemed to know exactly where you were at all times? What if it almost ended your life? Would you tell someone and risk being told that you're crazy? Maria asks herself the same questions and she can't help but to wonder, why does it hunt her so? Can she figure out a way to make it disappear? And most importantly Will she survive? _____________________________________________ In this gruesome horror story the events take place in modern day West Virginia which is where you will meet Maria Nichole Grey: a young and lonely fifteen year old girl that is still grieving the death of her father who died in a car accident seven years ago, leaving her with her aloof mother who was almost never home to witness the strange and dangerous happenings that keep Maria in constant danger. Maria wasn't sure why or how the entity haunted her; she never played with a ouija bound and she never chanted Bloody Mary in her bathroom but on this particular day, when she was home alone, a huge terrifying Monster pounced on her from her closet and attacked her in her own room, the Monster itself was a huge, horrifying, sinister entity with startling glowing yellow eyes that seemed to stare into her soul. The Monster seems to only be interested in Maria and targets her specifically, She has no clue as to why it's haunting her, no, hunting her, but she's determined to find out and put a stop to it before it can send the grim reaper her way. (Mature for gore & violence) (Word count around 60,000) (Also this was one of my first stories that I've written, I hope you like it! ♥︎) (Also this is in serious need of a rewrite which I hope to do later in the future ♥︎)

What would you do to survive in a world where the hungry dead walked? This is a question I have asked myself since the early 2000's. It all started when I came across J.L. Bourne's book Day By Day Armageddon. He had posted it online. His story of one man surviving a world of zombies in San Antonio rapidly developed a following and went to print. I credit it with kicking off my interest in the reinvigorated genre. Since then such works have been a consistent guilty pleasure. I read Bourne's sequels, devoured the writing of Z.A. Recht, David Wellington, Max Brooks and then chewed heartily through the pages inked by Shawn Cheeser, Craig DiLouie and many others. They all entertained and they inspired me to give it a try. Here are five stories that I have been imagining for some time. "Escape" charts the fall of New York City through the eyes of a handful of characters. "Gender" takes us to a secret underground bunker where the future of humankind watches and waits. "Murder" cracks a murder case in the much smaller post-apocalyptic community of Manhattan. "Herd" documents changes in the natural order that literally threatens to wipe away survivors. "Plan" documents one man's strategy for avoiding both zombies and people. I truly hope you enjoy these outings. Let me know one way or another.
