Luke Smith lived with his parents and older brother, Dash in Missoula until he was 13 years old because he attempted suicide due to being bullied by the kids at school for being overweight and bisexual. After that, they moved to Memphis, Tennessee until his parents died when he was 14 years old. After his parent's death, Luke started hanging out with the wrong crowd, got a 17-year-old pregnant, and started a gang. Finally, Luke, his family, and the gang return to Missoula.

Cole Jones is a foster kid whose parents died when he was five. His life got more lonely when his best friend Luke moved away. Cole created a gang and started to change his life because of his abusive foster home.

What will happen when Luke shows back up after moving away four years ago?
