Detective Mikail Buden is the best detective in the history of Morton, there was no case gone through him without being solved. The town of Morton had been a site of numerous mysteries and secrets that had yet to be unlocked about the towns mysterious past. Nobody knows who found the city of Morton. some say that the city was created by the devil himself, to store the destructions and chaos of the Seven Deadly Sins.
Now the heir to the Aldrich family fortune had gone missing, the disappearance of Joshua Aldrich had gone unnoticed for several days, until the house maid of the family had notice the vacancy of the family Manor. In Joshua Aldrich's room was an arrow above his fireplace, the window had been broken too. There was a note tied to the arrow above his fireplace, on the note was a message in which not even the bect scribe of the town can decode.
Mikail Buden was put on the case to find out was had happened to the heir. To find that out, Mikail had to dig deeper into the town's history, how the town just suddenly appear out of nowhere. Mikail had to search for the missing heir, and unlock the secrets of the town of Morton along the way, alongside his mistress, Alice Hington.

It's enough to make a gumshoe readjust his fedora. ----- This noir flavored detective yarn is set 100 years back in time. It's a bit grittier than my usual breezy output. This story is basically clean and I did not flag it as mature. However, darker human failings (alcohol use, sexual desire, and violence) drive the plot. I don't dwell on those aspects, but it's definitely a story for grownups. The intended audience is new adult or adult. Winner! 2022 Amby Awards, Mystery and Thriller category. After fifty years, They ended up having to run again. They believed Marcellus to be dead. What happens if something brings them to New Orleans? What happens once the family is reunited with their lost family member? What will they do about how he rules New Orleans? What happens once, they find out he doesn't remember him?Concluida
