"Grace, what did you hear?" Tyler asked, looking her directly in the eyes. She wasn't listening, her eyes fixated on the wall on the other side of the room.
"Grace." Kayla reached out to touch her friend's arm but Grace flinched away, causing Kayla to wince.
"Don't." Grace snapped, her gaze immediately shooting to Kayla.
"Grace, what the hell did you hear?!" Tyler insisted, grabbing her by the elbows and prying her away from Kayla.
"Next." She whispered, tears forming in her eyes.
