Poppy Jackson knows a lot about hiding and running, she also knows a hell of a lot about credit card scams. She uses a new ID in every town, pays cash for everything and never gets close to anybody. Why? Because she is a hunter; the kind that kills the creatures that haunt people's nightmares. It's dangerous as all hell, but somebody's got to do it and Poppy has a personal vendetta.

But after a chance encounter at a small diner in the Adirondacks, Poppy may have finally met her match, the charming, gun slinging Dean Winchester. Poppy reluctantly teams up with Dean and his brother on a hunt that may prove more difficult than anything they've ever faced.

As new dangers emerge and fiery passions come to light; Poppy has to make a choice. Drop everything for a family she never knew she wanted, or leave it behind forever.

Alexis Hart or Smith, as she prefers, grew up learning to hunt the things that go bump in the night. It was her life. She was taught it was the only thing that mattered. She never knew what normality felt like, she didn't even know what it was like to be a normal hunter. That was until she met Dean Winchester. At the age of thirteen Alexis was on a hunt with her father, he went out and said he'd be back in a little bit. Then when he didn't show up or even call Alexis knew what had happened. She was stuck here and after a few days of sitting in the motel room she decided to check out the supposedly haunted house where she met the fourteen year old Dean Winchester. She'd never met a hunter her age before. She hadn't met many hunters at all. Over the course of a week and a half the two grew close, bonding over the fact they both grew up hunting. Dean had even introduced her to his little brother Sam. When John came back from his hunt Dean did something Alexis had least expected. He asked of she could stay with them, seeing she had no where else to go. John pitied her and let her tag along. Now, almost thirteen years later dean and Alexis are still best friends. They still hunt together. And when John goes missing Alexis is determined to help Dean find his father. Dean and Alexis break into Sams college apartment in hopes of convincing him to help them. Alexis also has to figure out what these weird dizzy spells she keeps getting are. What happens when she starts to think they are more than just dizzy spells? And all the while learning to accept that she might just have feelings for the hunter that gave her a chance thirteen years ago. Disclaimer: I do not own supernatural. Shane Winchester, formerly Shane Parker, has not an easy run at things. When she was young, her entire family was murdered by her demon-possessed father, who then killed himself. Many years later,, that same demon that killed her family came back to try to kill Shane, who at the time was living in an orphanage, marred with the reputation of a mentally unstable child. And although she was rescued by the Winchester brothers, another demon manifested itself and possessed Shane for four years, leaving her as nothing more than a shell of a person. But after freeing herself from said demon, Shane discovered that she isn't even human, rather a creature who's sole purpose and desire is to find demons and kill them in the most grotesque way possible. Shane's hopes of finally getting her life back and gaining some stability are dashed to pieces as she now finds herself chased by the only friends she had left in the world, Sam and Dean. She has fallen victim to the notorious cliche: "the hunter has become the hunted." Terrified and accompanied only by the Trickster, Shane continues running from her seemingly imminent demise, and attempts to find a way to reverse the terrible transformation she is undergoing. Although she tired to keep her wits about her, one question still plagues her mind: "How am I ever going to survive this?" --- This is the third book in The Orphan series, many things, if not all, will not make sense unless you read The Orphan and The Possessed.
