So, Chell has escaped Aperture and Wheatley was still in space. Chell, being as lonely as she was, started writing to him in letters, broadcasting them to him using a station just for that.

So, viewers, THIS is my thank you for 1,000 views. Believe me, I'm extremely excited for it and I'm going to continue this for as long as I can. Also, should I turn it into a Chelley? I want this to be up to you guys because you're the ones who gave me this.

Test. That was what she did, and Subject 3281 did it well. She was the model subject, fit, strong, on time, and most of all... obedient. That's how she was, until one fateful day, when the higher-ups at Aperture Science figured that they could get more out of their testing if two subjects were present, and so launched the "Aperture Science Co-operative Testing Initiative", pairing Subject 3281 with another Test subject. A boy. A boy who forced Subject 3281 to re-think her complacency, to yearn for freedom as they all did. To begin thinking like the girl she had been; instead of the person she had become. ~----------------------------------~ So, I was writing a short story one day, and realized that--with a bit of tweaking--this could turn into a Portal 2 fan-fic! While I do believe that Blue Sky is the BEST fan-fic for Portal 2 out there, and deserves to be canon, I think that this is still a relatively believable Chell backstory. (This is set after Cave Johnson's death, and before Caroline/GLaDOS killed everyone but the test subjects with neurotoxin, and placed Chell in stasis.) Enjoy! This is not a Chelley fan-fic, and doesn't include Wheatley, as this is set prior to the timeline of the first game. I don't own Portal, Portal 2, or the Characters in the game; but this story is my own, from my imagination. While Talulla is in shock she shouts for Calista to come back to their room and a portal opens up out of the blue. Out of the portal, a man dressed in a suit, top hat, and trench coat, enters their room. This mysterious man named Marvin Douglas, unlike any regular person in the current timeline, is from 1967. As the girls question how simply doing an affirmation ritual lead a man from 1967 to time travel into their room, they set themselves on a journey to get Marvin home. But, what happens when they get too comfortable with each other, especially Calista and Marvin? Is love really in the question for them when they're from two different lifetimes?
