Oscar Everard is the best damn assassin you'll ever meet. Most assassins take a few weeks to get the job done but Oscar can finish it within a few days because he's just that good. He lives in a world where careers are chosen for you and they certainly made a good choice when they sent Oscar to West Maple College to become the best assassin ever known.

However, when Oscar meets Beatrix Arnett, it might not be so clear where his loyalties lie.
