The park was empty and I was alone. I was always alone, even when I was with people I was alone. I felt a tear escape my eye and trail down my cheek. I held so much resentment in my heart, resentment for the men who took my family from me and left me to die, resentment for my parents for putting me in this situation, resentment for myself for letting the hate control so much of my life. I angrily wiped the traitor tears off my face. I let out a bitter laugh, I know I am being pathetic. "You know it really isn't safe for a girl such as yourself to be outside at this time of night." I jumped as I heard a masculine voice say. I shot up off the swing and faced the source of the voice. It was too dark where he was standing to make out what he looked like. A girl like me shouldn't be outside at this time? What, a girl who spends most her time in gyms and self-defense classes learning how to beat the crap out of anyone and everyone. My temper flared, "A girl like me? What the hell is that even supposed to mean? Don't tell me what is and isn't safe for me because if I wanted to I could snap your neck like a freaking twig and not think twice about it."

Someone walks into the room but I cannot see its face. It looks like a man and by the look of his posture, he seems very important. "Why were you in my territory?" His voice is strangely calm however I think its the calm before the storm. "I didn't know it was your territory! For gods sake how many times do I have to tell you people? Just let me go and I promise I won't say anything to anyone. Not like I have anyone to tell." The last part I said in a whisper. He didn't need to know the situation I was in. I hear the cock of a gun making me raise my head. The all too familiar sound ringing in my ears. "I don't believe you bitch, so you better tell me the truth or your brains are gonna end up on the wall." Ah there's the storm. "A gun doesn't scare me arsehole, I've had way worse things than that!" He steps forward into the light so I can see his features. He is extremely good looking but right now is not the right time to admire his beauty. I stare straight into his pitch black eyes, daring him to try harder than this. He smirks and leans forward searching my eyes. Before I can even register what's happening, he punches me in the face. *** Mature Content
