Finnian Thysor's younger brother Archibald is a magician. It can often come in quite handy having someone he can turn to for free spells and charms who still owes him for years of brotherly annoyance.

However it can just as often cause problems that Finn would rather not have to deal with. Such as when a miscast spell causes Archie to disappear without a trace. And then it isn't long before the magical pleas for help start arriving.

So, armed with the name of a beach on the mysterious Arys Isle, Finn sets out to find him. But Arys Isle is a strange place and the people are even stranger. Not to mention the ever present rumour that dragons have been spotted on the Isle once more.

Lucy loses her family in a tragic plane crash at a terribly young age of 6. Whether she's alive or not, no one knows... That is, until a full 10 years pass and her temporary home is found by a couple of lost hikers. They take her in and leave her with the Japanese government. They're surprised to see that she can hold normal conversations with people and is up to date with everything she needs to know to go to school. The only downside is her lack of magic, and instinctual impulses. Her abilities and smarts land her in an unknown school; Fairy Tail High School for the Highly Advanced, or FTHS, where she is met with the true colors of her new society. Discrimination, social status, and just simple, high school anxiety. Not only that, but she has mysterious dreams, with herself as the main character. Will she make it through the school year? Natsu is just an ordinary kid; he's not famous, and definitely isn't from some conglomerate family. To make up for that, he's kind, smart, and has a sense of humor. He finds the smallest of things interesting. Which, of course, leads him straight to Lucy, the social outcast. One thing leads to another, and soon, Natsu is teaching this strange girl the world of magic. They become friends rather quickly, and her unexpected actions never ceases to calm his storm of a day. Natsu realizes his feelings for her, but isn't sure how to convey them. Will he manage to get through her thick-headed personality, or will he be forever considered "just a friend"? As the characters go through their own social problems, other problems start to arise. Magic manipulation, and an old alumni threaten them as Lucy attempts to recover from her past. Will they make it out alive, or will the world end, with the villain as the victor? All characters and cover photo don't belong to me! Thanks for clicking on the story :)
A Dance in the Dark (Book 1) by JhulyxOliveira
77 parts Ongoing
[ magic, romance and madness. ] Everyone knew that a romance between a guardian and their protégé always ended in tragedy - yet they risked it. One day, I read that in real-life fairy tales, the princess sometimes needs to befriend the dragon and kill the prince, perhaps not to the most extreme extent, considering the prince's utility. (*Wink*). Twenty years had passed since the demise of the last living descendant bearing the bloodline of a potent family within the mystical realm. Individuals who possessed magic more formidable than anyone could have fathomed and that very magic could be pilfered if they were to meet an untimely end-a rumour ignited like wildfire. Word began to spread about the sole surviving member of the Lysion family, the last vestige of a lineage renowned for their blessings from the gods (or, as some argue, their curses), once no more than bedtime tales for children. Two decades earlier, a game of hide and seek unfolded that culminated in the death of the final Lysion at the hands of Oldo Blake, a formidable figure in the annals of history. Or so the story goes. An obscure girl. A concealed secret. A relentless pursuit. With a motley crew of bewildering Other Siders on her trail and an absolute dearth of knowledge on how to harness her precious magic, Rosélina Johnson's life transformed from that of an inconspicuous university student to that of a fugitive in the mystic realm, utterly unprepared for what lay ahead.
The Last Knights of Cambria Book 1: Echoes of Gideon by kullman
16 parts Complete
Gideon Saint is dying for something exciting to happen in his life. With his love of history, he figures an internship at the museum has to be a good start, right? Anything is better than listening to his parents argue or sitting alone in his room doing research no one but him seems to care about. A chance encounter with a magical ring leaves him transported to an alternate version of ancient Wales, or as it was sometimes called, Cambria. 1432 Wales, to be exact. Here magic is the most powerful weapon of all as kings vie for power. Good thing Gideon's teleportation from the present has also left him with the ability to use magic, and he's quickly regarded as a powerful wizard. In this timeline, Wales maintained it's independence, but that's about to change. Henry V is on the throne of the England, and the greatest warrior king England has ever had has set his sights on Wales. Can Gideon help save his newfound friends and master his new powers, while living a double life in the 21st century? Ahem, living people die, dying people live, Henry V is here and he's awesome despite being the main antagonist, everybody is vaguely gay, swords are described in loving detail, people are not, lovely platonic friendships, did we mention swords? Yes, you may learn something about history, but that's a risk you'll have to take. Basically, think of this as a Percy Jackson type of adventure, but it's historical fiction instead of Greek gods. The narrator is 15 and the major supporting characters are 14, 17, and 19. That said, there's nothing in the way of content that's inappropriate for a younger reader. As always if you're not here to go on a fun little adventure find a different story. Trigger/Content: very mild language, some magic violence, fantasy violence. Self-harm is briefly discussed. Adoption issues are discussed as well as brief scenes of a abusive family. Characters briefly mention crushes and or dating, no real innuendos.

He only chucked before going forward with his explanation. "I would apologize but I'm not sorry about that, you look ravishing. I couldn't help it. But to answer your question, yes." "By you technically reaching adulthood, it basically certified the bond and made it more intense. But with that intensity comes a surplus of hormones, on my part that is. If you'd let me, I would pull this car over this instant and take you where you're sitting. That's how I feel right now and have been since your birthday. While you were sleeping as soon as midnight struck I wanted to take you to the furthest reaches of the earth and have my way with you-" I was flabbergasted, despite his sometimes crude behavior and vulgar speech Cyrus has never said anything like this to me in all of our two years together. It was almost odd to even hear such sexual things come out of his mouth pertaining to me. "-and it didn't help that you were sleeping in nothing but underwear and a large T-shirt laying directly on top of me. I'd never had to have so much control in such little time. That's how bad it was, if you were a djinn like me and we were the same age you would have felt the exact same way when I turned eighteen." He just shrugged his shoulder and continued to drive with the devilish smirk on his face. "Did that answer your question?" He took a Quick Look at me before letting out another boisterous laugh. "Goodness you're so cute and and innocent, but don't worry we'll certainly do something about that in due time" he shot me a wink while biting his lower lip as if he was thinking more crude things.
