This is the story of a teen girl, one with a hard life that is only about to get worse. When Carly is sent to Mexico, to live with her brother and his family, she doesn't expect to find an abusive father, a puppymill, and a kill shelter to await her - especially as the family bussiness! Her father is breaking the law, he's sentencing dogs to their death at underground dog fights. If she goes to the police all the dogs will be culled. But if she accepts an offer from her new father will she be putting not only herself, but other's in danger? Or will she be finding a whole new light to shine onto the world?
