Wherever Eliza Summers goes, troubles never far away usually in the form of a spell gone wrong or some demon rearing to kill her.

Life is all ass-kicking and spells until a vampire called Spike comes and messes up the whole circle of 'hunt, find, kill' that connects Eliza and most demonic creatures.
To make it worse a ghost from her boyfriends past comes back intent on revenge using Eliza as a pawn in his game. What happens when she has to break her sacred cow to never hit another human being to save her own dignity.
This ghost comes in the form of a rich man intent on having a piece of the slayer, whether he take it forcefully or not is up to Eliza.

She simply waits for everything to get better, after all what's the point in trying when the world will do whatever they can to drag you down. Her only escape from this twisted reality is a creature named Shadow. A terrifying creature that is somehow more humane than the so-called humans around her. Shadow could easily take all her problems away, but Melody refuses to take the easy way out. That is, until she just couldn't take it anymore, she takes Shadow's offer and soon her life got better. Her bullies started disappearing, showing up dead in the woods. Their bodies badly mutilated, almost unrecognizable. Life at school started getting better, she finally had human friends and even a boyfriend. Her "father" was found dead at her house. The torture had finally ended. Unfortunately this story doesn't have a happy ending, after all karma always strikes back.Complete
