Ashen Rivers has a tough life. But then again, anything would be tough if you had to keep yourself hidden from everyone because you were an extremely rare species. Ashen is a winged wolf, and he has to keep his wings, tail and ears hidden from humans. His species is so rare because humans like to execute his kind.

Ashen doesn't trust anybody but his horse, but then again, if everyone you knew abandoned you, you wouldn't, either.

The only one Ashen trusts is his horse, Midnight, and he's not afraid to let anyone know that.
