Everybody falls into mistakes.
It is part of being human.
However, some mistakes vary from others.
Yes.
Some are unnoticable. Some are silly. Some are easily forgiven.
Mine, on the other hand, was a black mistake.
I trusted a devil.
My mistakes were black.
I don't trust anyone anymore.

That all turns upside down after she's tricked by the devious Zachary (Zach) Payne into a filmed affair ─which he blackmails her by, later.
In a clash of misery, regret, deep bonds, and a glint of hope, can Jane learn to love again? Can she trust her heart to somone who can show her the light after all the darkness she's been through?

Little town, little events. Sage Marie Andrews has always been the dirty blonde, easy going tom boy of the small town Vernon Oaks that has everyone knowing everyone, gossip to beat the mailing system and a slightly stereotypical set of girls and guys to give anyone not used to it, a headache. Especially in the new level of parties and teenage nights Sage has recently taken habit in. At the young age of 15, she was friends with everyone, not super popular, but definitely in the spot light. She's the kind of girl who would volunteer to clean bed pans for old folks, and cringe at the idea of shopping unless it's for her collection of sport goods. Sure she made enemies, but she had allies too. One in particular. Chandler Riggs, a younger 12 year old who needed a friend, and she was there. After a brief but impressionable summer of growing close and being inseparable buddies, he moves away to Las Vegas for 3 years never contacting her again, just for her life of her first boyfriend, school studies, household drama and basically her attempt to change into a more feminine girl fall apart when she gets news her sweet kiddo pal is coming back, only to find, the city changes things, in more ways than one, and the kind, innocent, polite boy she once knew, is characteristically unrecognizable in the weirdest of ways. Drama, hate, triangles, mixed feelings, past secrets, present conflicts, these are all expected when the boy too wild for her small town changes her life at every turn; but what happens, when the most unexpected of feelings occur, prompting issues and shaky hope, when he seems incapable of truly loving anything? Or anyone. Not even himself, and she starts to wonder just what changed him in the 3 years he's been away to make him take on a whole new role in her life as well as challenge other aspects of it, along with her own troubling journey. Because for sure, they're not friends anymore. In fact, their far from it.

No one ever thought Bryce would end up with a girl like her. Obviously damaged, innocent, unattached to social media, quiet, no drugs, no alcohol, no addictions, very sweet. She was raised as a black sheep in a large, rich family in a small town. But no matter their differences, she's his Sweets, and he won't be letting LA or the world eat her up, no matter how easy she makes it or how hard they try. - Disclaimer: I write my books with my own understanding that I am using the peoples' names and circumstances, but the books are based in a completely alternate universe.
