Lin, a teenager, arrives in a glade being the first female to have ever become " The Greenie ". Like the youths dumped there before her, she had no memory of her previous life. Only remembering her name.
She's very protective towards her peers and treats everyone as if they were her children. It's funny really. But without babying and telling each glader what to do, she wouldn't have been named The Matriarch.

But try and be nice and resonable when you do give me advice. She never obeyed Alby's rules, she liked getting herself into trouble. Alby put up with her antics as she was the only girl the creators had ever sent up, and unless they did it again, Alby had to ensure she was safe, which was difficult when the girl enjoyed going against him and running out into the maze during her free time. Minho, the keeper of the runners, often had to chase after her on his days off, which coincidentally were the only days that the Angelica ran into the maze. That didn't mean he enjoyed chasing after the girl, Alby's orders though.
