Shay draws her last breath in The Forest, a place forbidden to to citizens. William wakes up in The Forest with no recollection of anything. Avery, Shay's friend, warned Shay. In a corrupt society where only the strongest survive, the weak die off. Kids are put into mysterious tests, which often lead to unknown disappearances and death. Shay tried to figure out these unknown deaths, now she herself is dead. In this science fiction novel, I present murder, mystery, and an unexpected friendship. Together they will figure out why humanity is on the brink of extinction, and how to solve it.

Stranded on an uncharted island during an expedition gone wrong, Lyra must find a way to not only escape the strange island but survive its brutal environment and the creatures that lurk there. It's bad enough she's trapped with no way home in such a dangerous place, but when she comes across signs of a monster lurking somewhere on this uncharted isle, she comes to find that the worst of her nightmares have only just begun. because the thing that's been stalking her from the shadows as fangs and scales just like the creatures she fears the most, with intentions of keeping her trapped with it on the isle.
Alone Together
This story really starts in the middle. Ari, who often goes by A, is propped up against a tree in the middle of a forest with a dagger in her stomach. She's lost a lot of blood already, and she keeps losing more. Helios is kneeling next to her, and they're both trying to figure out what to do. I'll start at the beginning, though. Ari is a wanderer, traveller, adventurer, and lots of other things. She doesn't have a home, until one day she does. She's chased into the Akiire territory by the Akiire's enemies; the Tesera. Luckily for her, the chief of the Akiire tribe takes her in. Akiire medicine men and women fuss over her until they're sure she's safe. Then the Akiire initate her as a member of their tribe. She gladly accepts. She's started to like it there, after all. Then Helios starts talking to her. He's nothing special in the tribe. He's a good warrior, but all the warriors are good. The bad ones have already died. Nonetheless, by the time we get to the forest with the dagger and all that, A has only spoken to Helios a few times. Now he's her only way to stay alive.Complete

But a pressing problem must be resolved before they can show her. Who is Aspen, and why are these people so desperate to find him? --- This is the continuation to my other story called The Winged. It isn't a direct continuation, but I would recommend reading the other story first to avoid confusion. The safe refuge everyone around her calls 'home' feels like a prison to her- so when she learns that there are other tribes somewhere in the forest, the decision to leave is hardly a choice. She makes it her mission to search the woodlands and bring the lost tribes together. But to do that, she'll have to leave her own tribe behind... which means leaving the people she loves most in the world. The forest is rife with predators. Beasts like humans; towering beasts that prowl through the trees without care or concern for the life they might trample. Leaving might just turn out to be a suicide mission.
