My name is Aleesha Marie Cortez , I'm 17 years old and I'm a senior in high school . I was born and raised in the worst part of Chicago but I'm not a statistic . I have both my parents an they both work , neither of them does drugs , sell drugs or anything like that . They are quite wealthy actually , the only bad thing I've seen inside my house is when my mom yells at us for not putting our clothes away or something minor like that . But outside my house it's a whole different story , the streets of Chicago are dangerous . I've seen so many things that I much rather forget . But nonetheless I love my city . But I can't wait to get out of here !
