A Familiar: An animal that chooses a human to bond with. The bond between the human and animal are created out of acceptance of both. The human can use the animal's traits. So if you were bonded with a bird, you could transform your arms into wings and fly. If you were bonded to a rabbit, you could transform your ears into rabbit ears for great sense of hearing. But Familiar's can be anything. From a sparrow, to the largest of all Familiars, a dragon. But creatures like dragons live in Dragon Mountain, and are very protective of each other if they don't have a human that they are bonded to.

The Golden Dragon's Hoard
Astraeus, a baby dragon, escapes from his old coven and stumbles upon a little shop that he spends months stealing from and hiding in to survive. The witch and familiars who live there are... strange. They know he takes from them but don't put up different wards, don't do things that could hurt him. They know that he has a hide out in the aster tree, that he lives close-instead of getting rid of him and forcing him to move, they visit him. Talk to him, leave him things, they're kind. Different. Stranger than any other witch or familiar he's ever met. Stray is not used to things that don't hurt. The gentleness is terrifying. He'd rather stay away from them than learn why they don't have sharp tongues or bruised knuckles. However, on the night of a bad storm, he gets trapped inside of the shop, trapped with kind strangers. After getting caught, he discovers another dragon. He learns that life is not meant to be painful. He learns that he can be loved. He's allowed to want things with them. To eat, to not fear the cold, to live instead of survive. Everything changes and Stray is determined to make them his hoard, to make it complete.Complete
Dragon Mind
In a land long forgotten is a valley. All manner of creatures lived in peace among the rocky greenery. Or as peaceful as possible. Villages consider the land sacred. Every year the sixteen year old children pour in one side, only a few make it out the other. The week long track kills off most of them. Parents beg their young to remain home but most still go in thinking the risk far less than the reward. Familiars, that's why they pour in and rush out. Only Warriors may enter. None are certain how it happens but within a week of return, an animal becomes the survivers familiar. In some cases even a whole herd or even a couple different animals will follow the warrior. Diana should have been a lady, but her soul was never ment for house work. Follow her as she fights for rank and unknowingly falls in love.Complete

Dragon Reincarnated (Working title)
As an avid- and fairly unsuccessful- writer of fantasy fiction, I know that dragons are pretty much the pinnacle of existence. I dare anyone to argue. So, when my mundane existence comes to an end and I am offered a choice of whatever race I liked upon reincarnating into a fantasy world, of course I chose dragon. Little did I know that my life as a dragon would take more than its fair share of twists and turns. But hey, I was a dragon... Everyone knows you don't mess with dragons. This is the next one to be added up on Royal Road in a couple days, once Broken's current chapters are done being added :)
