The demon entered her when, during their kiss, he opened his mouth wide and breathed into hers. She inhaled in shock and suddenly felt herself fall to the ground. He laughed, ecstatic that it was over; all his pain and agony and confusion were finally over.

She clenched the rug in her fists, trying to keep herself on the ground. Bewildered, she felt a liquid emerge from and then drip off of her face. As she saw it hit the white carpet, she saw that it was blood. She tasted it in her mouth too, and heard its voice in her head.

I crawled and sunk impossibly deeper into the couch behind me, biting my nails to hold back the scream of horror aching to burst through my chords. The terrifying and spine shivering sight of flesh being ripped to pieces, agonising screams of terror and the horrendous sight of blood splattering on the living room window escalated my heart beats to rhythms I never thought possible. Suddenly all was quiet, silent and dark. The light from the moon that peeked through the window became non-existent. The screams of terror and horror disappeared and at the window I felt the presence of the monster who was doing this. It turned a bit staring back at me with menacing yellow orbs penetrating to my soul as a silent warning that I would be next. Next in line following the demise of my very own...family. Crystal Cane, 17 year old senior in high school has had to live 12 years of her life after the incident with a new family, new home, new school and fortunately new friends. Still a little timid as she lives her life she has to be ready to see what fate has in store for her. Or what it seems to have against her . She enters a new lifestyle filled with question and very un expected harm her way. This has been a rough start for me but believe or not I find it hard to give up even if I so badly want to. "Shit" I swore holding my nose, it seemed broken and the effect of our collision drew some blood. "Gosh, I'm so sorry" a soft feminine voice apologizes "I swear, I didn't notice you were there" she says again. I turn around and I'm face to face with what initially I thought should be a goddess, hair and body wrapped in towels. She seemed to notice the blood from my nose. "You need to fix that" she says pointing towards my nose.at that she takes my hand pulling me into a room which i think is hers. Rummaging through a drawer, she retrives a cotton wool, taking a piece of it, she presses it to my nose and holds it there. I'm surprised by this gesture, but there really was no need for this, my body was beginning to heal already. One of the many benefits of possessing abilities as mine. I immediately seized the opportunity to study her. She had a straight face, slightly pointed nose. Her small, luscious lips were slightly parted. With skin glowing like crystals, I was ready to bet my skin she really was a goddess among other girls. My eyes travelled away from her face....downwards... The towel that covered her body was incredibly short revealing a pair of beautifully tanned legs... Instantly my testosterone began to skyrocket. And then I caught her scent... She is just HUMAN... But I could sense something about her, something different.
