But what his fellow classmates didn't know, was that he was cursed. On the night of his 18th birthday, Lachlan was visited by a witch. She stated to him that he had 72 days to find someone to love him, for him, or stay an ugly beast - face slashed with scars, hair messy and unkempt, pupils black and eyelids red, tattoos covering his neck, arms and legs - forever.
