In the country of Aureole, there are twelve sectors, one for each of the zodiac signs. Sixteen-year-old Aurelia has been transferred to Leo, and she starts school at the Amphitheater. There, she befriends a Virgo who is always skeptical of everyone else. One day, the Virgo disappears, and Aurelia depends on the help of other signs to find her. She learns who she can and can't trust, what their skills are, and where she can use them. Along the way, she started noticing things about Aureole's government.
