Oh. My. Gosh. Music! We need some of you young (or older. It doesn't matter) writers to write a story on your favorite band. It can be fictional, or informative. It just needs to talk about your band and why it's your favorite. Please enter! You want to win, don't you?
It doesn't matter how long your entries are, but please, one entry per person! It makes it so much easier!
I hope to get many entries from you guys. I would love to read all your stories. Honest. Even if I hate or love that band, it wont effect your results. Promise! It wont.

Without All This Noise - an original story
A band. A bond to last a lifetime. The summer before their senior year, and Nick's freshman year of college, everything changes when Nick suddenly overdoses without warning. Now, the three of them are forced to rebuild themselves. Their loyalty to the band, themselves, and music is tested with the arrival of their new drummer as they all struggle with their own personal challenges. Will they be able to pull through? Will they be able to listen to their souls, themselves, without all the extra noise and pressure of the world around them? TW: This story contains mature themes, including: mentions of self-harm, suicide, non-sexual nudity, guilt, grief, loss, depression, alcoholism, neglect, body dysmorphia, smoking, Christianity, and underage drinking. This story is not intended to glorify these things in any way, it is meant to address these issues as the characters learn to navigate past them. This story is about more than just this, though -- this story is dedicated to my love of rock music, and the healing powers music can have. This story is about growing up, and finding your place in the world, and learning to deal with heavy things such as mental health disorders, and how music can be a sort of self-healing and self-reflection, along with therapy.

He moved back to stare into my eyes, wanting to see his effect on me but I didn't give it to him. I smirked, pushed my chin down and looked up at him. "You're all talk, Ace," I whispered, not even blinking. I saw the gulp that rose in his throat, growing my smirk. Cacophony
Sydney didn't have much, but that was fine with her. She didn't need much. Growing up on the Washington coast in a lonely beach town, working quietly behind the scenes was what she was good at. Living on the beach was much less glamorous than most people imagine. Her home was a beat up old Winnebago that she had shared with her father until he passed. Her father had been a detached parent. He loved his daughter of course, but he was by no means an affectionate man. She had grown up fending for herself, working backstage at a bar that hosted live bands using a fake ID. After the death of her father she saw an ad for a guitar technician for a local Seattle band. A love of rock and roll had been the one thing that her and her dad had in common. Selling everything that she didn't need she packed up her pickup truck and travelled north to the city, leaving the sleepy town in her rear view mirror. She didn't expect to embark on what would become the adventure of a lifetime. For someone who had hardly left the town she grew up in, the opportunity to get paid to travel the country and listen to great music was a dream come true. The band became her family, and life on the road was a perfect fit for her. Chris Cornell instantly became Sydney's best friend in the whole world. They were in love, that was plain as day to anyone who paid attention. Yet, sometimes love isn't as simple as it should be. Sometimes, love hurts.
