After being convicted of a murder she didnt commit alita is left stranded on the hostile world filled with carnivorous plants, ruthless criminals, hostile natives, and bloodthirsty monsters. She comes to realize the world isnt as unforgiving and cold as it seems. She's saved by a native who dislikes humans as much as the next guy but shes intent on sticking by his side in order to survive. The only issue being is the last thing he wants is a pathetic, weak human girl following him around. (Limited time only read!) Until Chance's 16th birthday he was almost like everyone else, and then he woke up in the dream world. As he learns what this means he learns more about what it means to be him, along with finding a new friend in Jason, someone who once bullied Chance for his Down Syndrome. The two of them work together to defeat a being from another plane, who wants to use the dreamers to help him take the Earth from the humans... and it's not until then they learn there are others in the dream world. Chance is special, thanks to him being born with a very specific ability he can only use in the dream world, one passed to him by his deceased father. With these new people in his life he's able to defeat the being, help the girl he cared about, and begin to accept what it means to be a night guardian.Complete
