After the battle with Setne the Drift Shifters disappear into the night. They cant be found. So the search starts.
They really haven't gone far. After giving Astrid time to recover they are right back in the swing of things. Going up to Jasper, Alberta across to the god of medicine. They travel between camps, and soon learn that Astrid is almost powerless with the drift. She can't use it without experiencing pain.
Now a startling war is brewing. And they won't get much help from the gods who are experiencing headaches. And it's partly Astrid's fault from surviving the death curse. Because if you live you bring back four souls from their afterlife.
And the four souls have some big grudges and they will use their authority to control everyone.
And it's up to the Drift Shifters and an unexpected ally to settle the war before it's too late.
