Scarlynn 'Scar' Barns has lived on the streets all her life, teaching herself how to fight,pick pocketing and doing certain "jobs" for money.
Scar's life was turned upside down when she is taken by a large group call SWORD to help fight evil but during a fight she and her partner are shot with a special syringe that injects a syrum that changes them, giving them powers.
The world is now more dangerous for them and things can only go downhill from here.
