Her thoughts bob under the surface,
Her lost dreams circling around her in clouds.
Every fake smile, fake laugh,
Only feeds the emptiness inside.
She's lost the ability to cry,
Surrendered it to the numbness,
So she no longer has to feel.

The thick, black cloud overcomes her,
Smothering her till she suffocates.
She gasps, while inside her,
Everything is torn apart,
Her heart ripped to shreds,
And repeatedly stabbed,
With a rusty dagger.

Her soul screams as the Demons rip into it,
Those horrible monsters.
No. They're her Demons.
Her horrible monsters.
she's her own monster.
The guilt eating her alive,
As she slowly kills herself...

From the inside out.
She seems fine on the outside.
The same laughing, smiling girl she's always been.
The scars she keeps hidden the only sign.
A silent scream.
But no one notices.
Or do they just not care?

She's so alone.
She's always been alone.
Ever since the shadows ate her essence,
Sacrificed herself to the cold tendrils of sin.
False promises tempting her away from the Light,
And into the barren Darkness.
She's always so LOST...

"I think it's best we stay cordial while we're here. You know, avoid any awkwardness," I say, trying to sound casual. Jay leans against the doorframe, his eyes flickering with amusement as he watches me. "You want to be friends?" "No. I mean, not friends. Just civil," I answer, a little too quickly. "Okay. I can do civil," he says, his gaze never leaving mine like he is trying hard to read me. I look away, suddenly too exposed beneath his gaze. Damnit! This is going to be harder than I thought. - It was a moment. One that could have turned into something more.Until she walked away. Eight months later, Ira has to face him again. And this time, there's nowhere to run. Not for at least a week. After all, it's her best friend's wedding and he's invited too. So, she does what she's always done best-pretend. Pretend nothing happened. Pretend he didn't matter. Pretend her heart didn't skip a beat the second she saw him again. But Jay? He's not playing pretend. With that maddening smile and the kind of charm that should come with a warning, he's determined to remind her of everything she's tried to forget- even the years she's spent years mastering the art of detachment. He's the only one who's ever come close to reaching the version of her that she thought, she had buried long ago. And that's what makes him dangerous. Because she shouldn't return to who she was. She's ice. And he? He's the fire that never stopped burning. The real question is: Can she let his fire thaw the ice that's long been her shield?

She was ordinary. Fragile. Timid. The kind of girl who flinched at loud voices, hid behind her hands, and spent her days wrapped in the comfort of quiet dreams and the gentle embrace of nature. Life was safe. Predictable. Until it wasn't. One night, everything shattered. A man with cold, unfeeling eyes and blood on his hands came for her. Dragged her from her bed at midnight. Pulled her into a world she didn't understand. A stranger, merciless and silent, became her captor. And he wouldn't explain why. He was everything she feared. Brutal. Unforgiving. Dark in a way that made the air around him feel sharp. He lived only for one person. His brother, a man who had lost an eye because of him, a debt he carried like a curse. And the reason she was here? That brother had seen her at a wedding. Whispers of desire had crossed the wrong ears, and in that instant, her life was stolen without question. She begged. Pleaded. Tried to understand. He remained cold, unyielding, untouchable. And in her confusion, she convinced herself of a story that wasn't true: that he must love her. That beneath the rough edges, the anger, the cruelty, there was a man capable of tenderness. She fell for him. Hopelessly. Recklessly. Entirely. She followed him, confessed to him, clung to the faintest glimpses of softness she thought she saw. Every protective gesture, every glance of anger, every violent act she witnessed, she misread them all as love. But she was wrong. She was never meant to be his. She was a gift. A possession to be delivered to someone else. And by the time the truth claws through her illusions, her heart has already been claimed by the wrong man. Two brothers. One woman. And in the shadowed corners of their world, where darkness is law and nightmares are real, the game of obsession, and forbidden love begins.

╰┈➤ ❝ [I stood there in unequivocal revelation, the lagging pain slowly catching up with me, but before I could release a fraction of the pain into my screaming, a bell rang, and suddenly, pilfered from my body was the ability to move. My face neutral and my muscles disabled as I fell face-first into the hard, scathing rock that lay unmoved before me.] 》* 。 • ˚ ˚ ˛ * 。° 。 • ˚《 Imagine awakening in an environment you deemed unfamiliar, your back thrumming in pain, with your mind staying clear of how you ended up there or simply the moments that lead to your position. You try to find a way out and later realize that you can't even remember who you are; your memories purged, your identity unknown. It takes you a good amount of time, pain, and effort, and eventually you manage to gather tiny fragments of who you were along with the trauma of how you retrieved it, but it's okay, maybe it's all worth it as you finally make contact with another person. Turns out she was your best friend. Finally, it looks like all is turning up until you learn of all the inhumane things you've done in your past, things that evade your newfound morals, things that were so detrimental to society that when you hear the reason as to why you've been enduring such agony, you understand why. How many people did you even end up hurting? What did you do that was so bad, that it made millions wish the absolute worst of you? What will you do now?

She sat down on the floor. Knees drawn to her chest, hands pulling at her hair. She couldn't take it anymore. She ripped out a bunch of her hair and laughed at the pain it brought her. Nothing could be compared to the pain she already felt. She couldn't describe what she felt. Even after killing her tormentor the pain still wouldn't go away. The joy she felt when stabbing Alison was the ultimate feeling. She couldn't stop laughing, as she continued to stab Alison over and over again, but even that high cleared. She smiled as she remembered the memory. It was the best she'd have for a long time. She stood up and threw the ripped hair in the bin. Even though she still had those melancholy dark feelings in the depths of her, killing Alison had chipped away some of it. But no matter how bad felt, no matter how low she went, or how far broken she was, she'd still rise up. Somehow gravity didn't apply to her. And she wouldn't let it. *Elizabeth Lynnwood was the most normal teenager in the world until the universe suddenly decided to turn things around. Uncle Kennedy took her in, not by choice. Life took a very bad turn for her and highschool made it so much worse. Highschool they say are the best days of your life. Bullshit.
