JACK is terrified. Crossing the line with the Great prevents him from once again setting foot outside his prison, that he calls home. There is a way to go on the mission he deserves, but he must risk it all to attempt his escape.
MILES is ecstatic. Going on the mission of his dreams with the girl of his dreams is all he's ever wanted. But when he must choose between this future and Jack, he has no where to go.
GRACE is more scared then she's ever been. She is chosen to go with Miles on her yearly mission, and for her, that is wonderful. But a strange spirit seems to be possessing her, and it goes farther than she ever expected when the spirit flies her out of the castle and into a dark cave where the spirit must lurk.
Every year, in the realm of the Enchanted Castle of the Protectors, there is a week. This week is dreaded by humans, yet looked forward to by the Protectors. This is the week where the heroes can prove their worth. A darkness comes, and lingers in the cities and towns and haunts the humans. Each Protector is assigned to a specific human, to protect them from the darkness. But at the end of the Dark Week, the darkness has not faded. Is this the work of the supposedly dead Dark Lord, and will Jack, Miles, and Grace stay alive long enough to stop him?
