It used to be fun. It used to be worth living. Life that is. Back when kids went to the beach on weekends instead of being flown to distant countries to fight in wars. That's all we've been doing nowadays. Fighting. Kids as young as ten have been shipped off to war. Billions of people have been slaughtered. Only about one million of us are left alive, most of them taken prisoners. This is not the life I wanted. I miss the way it used to be, but I must keep fighting. I will never stop fighting. She hated them. They loved her with everything in them. The universe truly has a sick way of telling you it's there, doesn't it? From being kidnapped to being abused, that was all Arabella saw in life. It was all she ever knew. They tell you to keep fighting but sometimes you realize... you were just a child.
