the story starts out with Melanie a 13 year old girl walking home from a store in ludlow VT less than 2 miles from her home she sees a white van pull over next to her the driver rolls his window down and asks if Melanie has seen his lost dog she starts to shake because she knows what this guy is up too she says no and starts to walk away a few feet down the side walk she realizes she is being followed by the guy in the van she starts to run but the guy eventually catches her she tries to scream but the guy from the van puts his hand over Melanie's mouth. please read to find out what happens next !
