When scientists discover alchemy they began running tests of their own. Combining humans with animals. They were some what successful so they began fusing a human and two animals. Only one survived. Ryder is a wolf and bird humanoid. Fabulous dog ears, killer instinct and sick wings. 
Alchemy has become popular in the thriving cities, even if it becomes illeagle. 
The humans use the created humanoids as slaves, even betting them on fights to the death for money.
Ryder has no owner, and no home. All she has is herself. And her pet goldfish. She is wildly known throughout the world. Experiment 57, only person to survive two alchemy fusions.
