Erica Wellington is an aspiring and unknown actress.

A very, very unknown actress.

But when she finally lands the lead role in an upcoming romantic comedy, she makes sure to create a set of concrete rules for herself before she screws up her big chance. Since "screwing things up" is right up there on her list of talents. Right after acting.

Rule Number One:
Never (emphasize on the never) fall in love with your co-star, especially when that co-star has an extremely pretty girlfriend.

Should be the easiest rule to follow, right? Especially when he is so very well aware of his Grade 'A' physical appearances, and just plain rude as Daniel Anderson is.

Who would fall in love, or even like, this narcissistic Hollywood actor, anyway? Certainly not Erica Wellington.

But as she progresses along her first movie, and accidentally finds out some heartbreaking secrets about Daniel Anderson, she realizes that, unfortunately, 'Rule Number One' is getting a lot more difficult to follow.
