It was Edith's 200th birthday, and she and her father were out to celebrate in their own little way.

In an unfortunate turn of events, she lost the only person she knew and trusted in the world.

Edith has to learn to survive on her own until she meets the King of Mirkwood and his adorable young son. They become the most important things in her life.

But when an old enemy reappears, will she keep her vow, or will she learn to forgive?

Maybe she is of just as much, if not more, importance to them as they are her. Will they discover something deep within themselves of such rare, unique beauty? Will they fall into despair?

COMPLETED story with a SEQUEL; "A Permanent Lineage" *Over 34+ chapters overall! "...She had dreamt of what his lips would feel and taste like for literally centuries and they didn't disappoint. The first touch of her lips on his was like a taste of water after years in the desert..." The war of the ring is over. Lady Arden of Ardor belongs to an ancient line of powerful half-breed Elves. Rumors hint at what their powers could possibly entail but no one knows for sure. Some say they are clairvoyant and others proclaim them to be shapeshifters. Many say both. One thing is for sure; all of Middle Earth fears them. But the war could not have been won without their aid and now the cursed line is asking for acceptance. No longer do they want to wander the forests endlessly, moving from kingdom to kingdom as permanent nomads. Now they call for a meeting between the fellowships' 5 bloodlines, requesting a permanent lineage and kingdom. There are just 2 problems that hinder lady Arden from finally receiving the honor her and her kin deserve. 1. The kingdom they wish to call theirs borders Mirkwood forest. 2. The king of Mirkwood is not so inclined on being neighbors with cursed creatures, especially their queen. Raised to look down upon anything not of full elvish form, Thranduil is enraged by the audacity of the creature and her people who have plagued his borders for centuries. However many do not know that the 2 were once inseparable. Long ago the 2 elvish races lived in peace until tragedy struck. Ever since then, Thranduil has hated Arden and her people with a passion. When it comes down to the last vote, it is none other than Thranduil who holds their future in his hands. Will he take advantage of Arden in the process of deciding? Will Arden finally be able to change his mind and in the end gain something more eternal than a legacy? 32 parts Ongoing Mature
In a quiet town on the edge on Mirkwood, an elf child named Thaila was found with striking white hair, unique blue and amber eyes, and a gentle soul. As she grew into a young woman, puberty unleashed a surge of hidden powers within her. She grew majestic dragon horns, an enchanting tail, and impressive wings. The villagers, initially accepting, turned against her in fear, claiming that she was cursed. Haunted by grief and regret, Thaila distanced herself, rejecting people altogether and sinking into deep despair. She turned to self-harm as a coping mechanism, cutting herself as penance for her perceived curse. Then, news emerged of a potential cure in the mysterious land of Mirkwood, but fear engulfed Thaila. However, Legolas, captivated by her tale, offered his companionship and promised protection along the journey. Initially reluctant, Thaila eventually agreed to leave the only home she had ever known. As they traversed through the dense, enchanted forests of Mirkwood, she discovered newfound strength and resilience in the company of her unlikely ally. Upon reaching their destination, Thaila and Legolas knelt before the wise King Thranduil of Mirkwood, Legolas' father. They beseeched his wisdom, seeking the cure that lingered on the edge of their dreams. As the story unfolds, Thaila learns to embrace her inner power and beauty, realizing that she has been blessed with unique, extraordinary gifts rather than curses. In the heart of Mirkwood, she confronts her fears and blossoms into the dazzling and powerful creature she was always meant to be. Love, forgiveness, and self-compassion unfold as Thaila journeys towards her destiny, learning that enchanting truths can emerge from the darkest corners of our lives. 16 parts Complete

An account of the last days of the ElvenQueen. Lairiel of Lorien was a Telerian elleth, and guardian of the Valar's creation. A chance encounter, on a political exchange to Greenwood, has her fate entwined with that of the Great Forest - she chose Oropher's son. She is Thranduil's most beloved treasure, and the light of the people she so readily embraced. But, as Greenwood falls into darkness even the King and his Queen are not immune to the evil of Sauron. ***Note: I wrote this story ten years ago, and I'm keeping it very much to its original form and plot. Therefore this is not a Gundabad story, nor a dragon fire plot. It is not influenced by the hobbit movies. It was how I imagined the tragedy of the ElvenKing, and was my very first fanfiction*** ***Disclaimer: All recognisable characters belong to the master Tolkien. Without him we would never have had such wonderful freedom of imagination. Lairiel and Ellenya are my own beloved OCs, their stories do belong entirely to me.***
