In a closed system, entropy can only increase. That is true of everything. From the smallest cells to the largest galaxies to the universe as a whole.
That's why it went downhill so fast. That's why YHWH (God/Chuck) must weep. He gave them the choice, and they descended into chaos.
And He is fixing it. Slowly but surely He rounds up his suffering children and gathers them at the safe haven He's been preparing for a millennium. Eventually then will have peace, but peace takes hard work - even for an omnipotent being, it takes time.

How can the two opposing forces survive when they both want to be the dragon? How much will one have to shrink in size before the curse is finally broken? Even the idea that one single choice would be affecting the lives of billions was mind boggling. Let us have a closer look at the effects of this choice in two specific entities. Beleth, governor of the Infernal Realm, who wished for nothing but calm, peace and maybe a little chaos here and there. And Rumion, the Watcher, torn between keeping his life as stable as it is and the overwhelming urge to reconnect with his long lost (?) brother. _________________________________________ Three more or less one-shots. The Forsaken
Times are hard within the Heavens. There is a prophesy that claims all will fall to darkness during the coming war between Heaven and Hell.
