Loki's confused about his feelings towards Tony Stark, his enemy. Stark's got PTSD, self hate, and an unnatural need to help everyone. Loki has minor memory loss, he can't remember doing anything in New York, he simply remembers being left on Earth without any magic to fend for himself. Is his father really that cruel? Yes. Yes he is. With a lack of his memory the Avengers set out to help him obtain them, even if they regret it.
