The man shot me an annoyed look. "Ping...what?" He growled.

He continued to stare me down. "Any relation to Fa Zhou?"

"Thats my Pop." I smiled slightly. He returned my friendly gesture with a scowl.

Then the horse screamed in panic and Shang saw Ping turn in the water and take off after the horse. The boy would reach the frantic animal before anyone else! With a curse, he took off down the shoreline. He watched helplessly as Ping reached the horse and began to cut the creature free of its confines with a knife he had somehow managed to hang on to in the river. He saw when the horse finally came free, reared up in the water and then came back down...directly on top of Ping!
