Sophie is a 20 year old girl who moved to Manhattan New York about 4 months ago, thanks to her dad's new job. She had to leave her old friends and other family behind. Sophie sees herself as an outcast, she doesn't really fit in this new big city. She doesn't get along with her parents. Her dad sees her as a failure because she wants to be a singer instead of getting 'a real job'. And if all of that isn't enough, the mean girl of her new school, Rachel, sees Sophie as a threat which means she will do anything to destroy her. The current result of that is humiliation and bullying, in class but also online. One night, it's too much for her to bare, she sneaks out and runs into the dark shadows of central park. What she's going to do next will solve all her problems, nobody is going to hurt her anymore. Nobody will and nobody can... At least, if she manages to do it because a stranger in the night thinks otherwise...

Nineteen-year-old Nina Pruitt has starved herself of food, love, and friendship in pursuit of a guy who didn't deserve all she gave him and who isn't ready to give up on getting her back. When a new love pops up and an old loves steps in, will either be enough for her to choose to fight for her life again? I dedicate this story to all those who, for whatever reason, chose to love me even at my worst. Special mention goes to three, out of many, friends who have touched and shaped my life ~> Shawn, Jenny, and Barry. Where would I be without you?
