Cather Matthews was the Erudite daughter of leader Jeanine Matthews. After turning 16, Cath decided she wanted a new way of life. She changed to Dauntless. Follow her on her story through good and bad.
Anna was a regular girl from Abnegation. Sworn to keep quiet about her father's violent ways, she can't escape. When her brother Tobias leaves her for two years, and runs away to Dauntless, two years later she follows in her brothers footsteps. What happens when can't find Tobias, makes a new friend, has a lover, and gains enemies. Follow her through her extraordinary path of twisting and turning life.
Most of the characters belong to Veronica Roth. She also owns the plot.

{BOOK ONE} There are five factions. Each had their own reasoning for thinking why the war had happened. Dauntless; cowardice and fear. They strive to be brave, fearless. Erudite; ignorance. They strive for intellect, to be smart and curious. Candor; deception. They strive to be honest. Amity; they blamed the war itself along with fighting. They strive to be kind, forgiving, peaceful. Abnegation; selfishness. So they strive to be selfless. Dauntless are our police. Erudite are our teachers. Candor is the law. Amity are the farmers. And Abnegation are our government. I would sit on the ground everyday, wearing my yellow dress with black sandals. Wasn't the best thing for me. Dresses made my shoulders to broad, especially the flowing ones. When I was home alone, or with my mother, I would wear I tight black shirt and white shorts. No one would really approve, mostly because they were Candor colours along with the fact it's not... welcoming enough. I never understood Amity, not because of the kindness and the peacefulness; well, mostly the peacefulness. Whenever it should come down to defending ourselves or walking away. We walked away. It confused me. Maybe I wasn't Amity enough to understand. Maybe I wasn't kind enough. Maybe, just maybe, I didn't belong here. So where do I belong? I never really was made to be in Abnegation. I didn't ever fit in. All of the selflessness - I just couldn't do it. I couldn't forget myself in a matter of seconds then turn to another in need. I always thought of myself and what I would be like when I was older. Would I live in Abnegation? Could I learn to forget myself eventually? No. It just wouldn't happen. The Strongest Dauntless
Four and Tris have a daughter while the war is going on. The daughters name is Tobias. Tobias was given to a family in Amity for only five years. During those five years Tobias lost something that she can never ever get back. Tobias is now telling the story of her life to the new initiates. She tells her story to initiates that are eight years younger than her. This story is what helps her keep her life in check, show people she is stronger than they think, and let people know who she is and what she does. Hope is one of the only things Tobias has, except for love, pain, sadness, anger and happiness. This is the story of Tobias' life.Complete
